As surfers of all levels, we have designed this swimsuit for intermediate surfers in small waves, less than one meter high.

Are you an intermediate surfer?

I can surf regularly. During your sports training, you can paddle, or dive under small waves if you are on a shortboard, then surf waves less than one meter high. You often fall and get used to being shaken underwater. Your swimsuit must meet the requirements of your activity and stay securely on your body with every movement. We have designed a style that suits regular practice and your body shape.

Body-hugging design

When a surfer reaches the peak and hits a violent wave, the wave can rip your swimsuit at any time, and you cannot fix it. That is why we designed the AGATHA bikini top for professional surfers. The light round neckline and wide elastic band under the chest ensure a secure fit. A gap between the breasts allows water to flow through. The swimsuit stays in place thanks to the double strap at the back (upper back and lower chest area) and is ideal for any body type.

This product stays securely on the body in waves: the test

We designed this swimsuit to enhance its stability on the body in waves. To subject these products to testing, we employed a group of female surfers of different body shapes who followed a testing protocol in a swimming pool at our design headquarters in Hendaye, southwestern France. This protocol aims to replicate the experience surfers go through when they are overturned by waves. If this test is conclusive, we then go surfing in the sea to try out our swimsuits in realistic conditions.

Dry fit and wet fit

To ensure perfect stability in the water, it is important to choose the right size while dry because once you enter the water, the swimsuit becomes more flexible. Therefore, we recommend buying the correct size. The swimsuit should fit snugly on the body when tried on in the fitting room; you should feel that it supports your body. The elastane material in some of the compounds used in our swimwear design softens and feels more relaxed in the water.

Is the size or shape not suitable for you? Would you like to exchange the product at your Decathlon store? No problem, just make sure not to remove the swimsuit tag if you wish to exchange it.

Our headquarters are located in Hendaye, France. Olaian is Decathlon's new brand for surfing and bodyboarding. Our headquarters are located on the beach, which allows us to design swimwear and then test it on the same day directly in the sea to ensure it stays in place.
