Over time, your grip will get dirty. The first, easiest solution is to make sure your shoes are clean before getting on your board. If the soles of your shoes are dirty, you will leave ugly marks on your board, as well as reducing its grip. Use an old toothbrush to remove any marks, but don't brush too hard as you might smoothen the surface!
If your grip is too worn but your board is still in good condition, your best bet is to change the grip. You will need a hairdryer to remove the grip. The hot air will make the grip unstick easily. If a few bits stay stuck on, apply some nail polish remover and brush them to remove them. You can then stick a new grip onto your board.
