How waterproof is it?

Our jacket is protected by a waterproof coating that can withstand 5,000 mm H2O (Schmerbers). What does this actually mean? It’s as if it can withstand a 5-metre column of water! This level of protection is sure to keep you dry, even in light rain for a full hour.

Why does the fabric breathe?

The fabric this jacket is made of naturally wicks away perspiration, with a RET rating of 12. The RET indicates if the fabric is able to effectively let moisture from your body pass through to the outside. At this rating level, you get good breathability, to keep you comfortable while you practice your activities.

How to measure waterproofing

To keep your jacket waterproof, it’s as simple as that! Reactivate the protective layer every 3 washes or after a dozen uses in the rain. Either: 15 minutes in a tumble drier, or with a hair dryer held 20 cm away. And that’s it... mission accomplished!

Ideal for walks with total peace of mind: 2 hours max, at a moderate pace (5 km/h), without elevation gain. And the secret to always staying comfortable? Choose your jacket to suit your level of exertion! If you sweat more than the jacket can wick away, this sweat will turn into condensation underneath your clothing.
