Description

Our 520 pedals are designed for adults doing sports mountain biking: entry model to introduce you to clipless pedals.

Features:

Type of pedal:Clipless Compatible with:SPD clips Screwthread: 9/16" English screw thread Axle:chromoly steel Body: aluminium Cage: aluminium Bearings: ball bearings Weight: 0.376 kg

How do I remove these bicycle pedals?

Position your bike stably and at the right height on the mount (ref:8755001). Use a pedal key (ref:8938257) to remove your pedals. Please note that the left pedal unscrews clockwise, and the right pedal anti-clockwise.

How do I fit these bicycle pedals?

Each pair includes a left pedal (marked with an L or a mark) and a right pedal (marked with an R or no mark). If in doubt, check the packaging.Apply grease (Ref:8874174) to the pedal thread to prevent seizing.Use a pedal wrench to screw in: Right pedal (R):Screw clockwise. Left pedal (L):Screw anticlockwise.

Pro advice:

The tension of your pedals is adjustable to adapt the level of support to your preferences and your usage.Low tension: Eases unclipping (ideal for beginners or in traffic). High tension: Provides better support and allows you to pull harder on the pedal. Find the adjustment level that ensures both safety and efficiency. Important advice:Always anticipate unclipping before stopping.

Security

When learning to use clipless pedals, make sure you plan ahead each time you want to unclip and put your foot down (at traffic lights, when stopping, or when there's an obstacle in the way). If you aren't yet completely at ease with cleats, you might want to have one side of your pedals as flat pedals (ref. 8405478) to use on the more technical sections of your ride.
