It does not oxidise and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal). \u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow did we choose the coating for our cooking sets?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor the TREK500 range, we have chosen not to use a non-stick coating in order to have a very simple product that is resistant to all conditions of use and washing. No need to wonder how to carry or wash it without damaging it!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow did we choose the plastics for our cooking sets?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003ePolyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), shocks and deformation.\nBe careful not to place the plastic parts in direct contact with a flame.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow best to use your cook set?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eOur cook sets are compatible with all types of fires (wood, gas, induction, etc.).\nThe saucepan has a patented 2-part folding handle that locks the lid during transport.\nThe lid fits the saucepan, heats food faster and also serves as a strainer.\nThe bowl has a structured design that reduces heat transfer and can hold a gas cartridge (230 g screw cartridge) for transportation.\nThe cutlery folds for easy storage.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow to store your cook set?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe items are stored inside the cook set. First the bowl then the cutlery.  The lid is then placed and locked by the folding handle.\nThe bowl and cutlery are also available for sale individually.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eHow to clean and maintain your cook set?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eBefore the first use, rinse all the items 3 times with clean water.\nAll the items are dishwasher safe, and  when used outside they can be washed with soapy water or with water and sand from the river!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eWhat should you avoid doing with your cookset?\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eNever heat your saucepans empty, as this will deform and damage them.\nWhen using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts.\nClose your handle properly before using the cook set on the fire.\nIn any case, prevent the flames from rising too high and reaching the lid, as it could melt.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEat in the wild with this lightweight cooking kit.
