Olayan, Decathlon's surfing brand

Olayan, Decathlon's surfing brand based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, is Decathlon's surfing brand. In our offices on the beaches, we can design a comfortable and durable pair of surfing shorts, then go surfing the same day and test them to ensure they stay secure in the waves.

UV protection even when wet.

Olayan's anti-UV fabric blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays - meaning UPF +50. This ensures effective sun protection. It can be used in and out of the water, for water and marine activities. The density of the fabric's fibers blocks UV rays for long-lasting protection even after washing.

What does UPF +50 mean?

UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) that is globally standardized. It specifies the level of protection of the fabric and, more precisely, the percentage of UV rays it allows to pass through. To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF +50 means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVA rays and 98% of UVB rays.

Body Shape

We created the Suzy long-sleeved one-piece swimsuit for all young surfers who want to surf in a swimsuit without the risk of losing it. This swimsuit is also designed to avoid any friction between the board and the wax. Its coverage and components help protect the surfer from the sun's UPF50+ rays. We also offer a chest lining solution for teenage girls in sizes 12-13Y and 14-15Y.

Girls' Swimwear Sizes

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young female surfers with their growth in mind. That's why we systematically link a child's height to their size, as age alone is not enough to guarantee the correct fit. Here is the link between age and height on swimsuit labels: 8/9 years: 133 to 142 cm 10/11 years: 143 to 150 cm 12/13 years: 151 to 160 cm 14/15 years: 161 to 169 cm. We also recommend trying on swimsuits in-store if possible.
